Sify Broadband services provide Internet connections in two different source plans, which are named – Broadband plans and Hi-Speed plans. Each of those are again divided into 3 different packages, namely Data Transfer range, Family range, and Unlimited plans.
Following are the insights about the packages available for Sify Broadband internet -
Broadband plans -
Data Transfer Range >
- Data transfer 256kbps 400 MB Plan – Rs 250 per month.
- Data transfer 256kbps 1 GB Plan – Rs 505 per month.
- Data transfer 256kbps 400 MB day + Night Unlimited – Rs 400 per month.
Family Range > 150 MB per day limit.
- Night & Weekends# 256 kbps – Rs 513 per month.
- Happy Hours 256 kbps – Rs 814 per month.
Note: For 1st plan, Unlimited access during night 10.00pm to 8.00am. And on (Saturday and Sunday) 150 MB/day applicable between 8.00am and 10.00pm on Weekends, if usage exceeds more than 150 MB, then there will be a reduction in validity of one day of every 25 MB of extra usage in that calendar day. This is applicable only between 8.00am to 10.00pm.
Unlimited Plans > Upload speed is 64 Kbps, Download speed is 256 Kbps.
- Unlimited 256 kbps Plan – Rs 999 per month.
- Unlimited 256 kbps day & 512 kbps Night – Rs 1156 per month.
- Night Unlimited 512 kbps – Rs 512 per month. Access only from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am.

One thing you forgot to mention that these prices are exclusive of taxes. So that Rs 1156 per month plan you mentioned at last costs Rs 1299 actually.

I, Abhimanyu Sharma, Advocate Patna High Court,am a consumer of the sify Broadband Plan of Rs.1122/- per month, since 16th 0f February 2009.I chose to go with the plan following the advertisement by sify on internet assuring fast connection and hi-speed.But sicne the day the trouble started.It takes more than half an hour times in opening the first page.some times the troubeleshooter reported plug not connected. However on then assurance given by local agent. I any how continued for two months with mental and financial suffering and loss of work. the connection was renewed on 18th of May 2009 but after aday when I tried to connect the error reported was ” connection not Pluged in , I went on contacting customer care but the telephon was never attended.This caused a lot of mental harssment. on 25th of may the payments were made for renewal og internate connectio. The connection was restored. But my god it was more troublesome . for the whole of Night the speed was so low that it started taking half an hour or more time in loging . Not only this not even a single web page was opened. this caused loss and mental harssment if quantified in terms of momey ,though mental agony canot be so quatified,will not be less than Rs.ten lac.you are requested to look in this matter and fullfil the promise. Or I will at liberty to move the court of law for the damage caused and the offenc of cheating comitted .Take it as notice and do the needful. A copy has been preseved in my office for future referenc and use.
