This is with regards to the internet connection that I had applied at Hathway a week back with a promise to get connection in 2 days only by hathway sales executive. The guy took the money and promised to provide connection in 2 days. When I approached him after 2 days he said connection will be done tomorrow for sure but that didn’t happened and whenever I called him up he said it will be done tomorrow.
Finally when I talked with him strictly he spoke in slang language and is not even ready to refund the money. At the time of connection he mentioned false thing like connection will be done in 2 day only and as I was in urgent need I paid him immediately. Later I spoke to there incharge Mr. Vadnere at pune and wrote emails to several hathway helpdesk id’s but nothing has been done except some calls. Finally after 2 week I asked them to cancel connection and refund money, they are now telling there is a procedure to cancel it and not even ready to make refund immidiately. Guys it has been very horrible experience with hathway services and pathetic people and company. please never ever think of hathway for any service like cable, broadband etc.
I had paid Rs 1966/- on 17th Dec 2008 – by cheque (Chq No: 383505; drawn on state Bank of India – Mahim, Mumbai branch)to avil of the New Freeway Flexi (unlimited) Scheme.
I was assured that my broadban connection will be connected within 4 days. I contacted your sales executive Mr. Ganesh (Mobile No: + 91 9892705974) on 29th Dec 08 and asked him why I have not received my connection so far. He had no answer to this query. I then demand a full refund of my money but till date I have not received refund.
I wish to state here that I now have no other alternative but to go to te consumer court and register my grievience.

In fact, I am thinking of getting hathway internet connect. But considering the complaints which hathway have not attended to I have to reconsider whether to get connected or not. But one of my friends at Dombivli says your service of very good. I don’t understand what are the facts.

Dear sir, I had sent numbers of mails about the problem I am facing for the last four months or so. Whenever there is power cut in Chandigarh;internet connection is not available due to that you do not have power back up arrangements. Please ensure that you are making necessary arrangements to provided continous uncut internet service even when there is power cut so that we may renew for gertting further service from your company. I paid Rs.730 initial payment to hathway asking for a monthly prepaid connection. This amount was never updated into their accounts. Keeping the fault on their side they call you and pester you and also the prepaid has been converted to postpaid without any notice or intimation. No bills were sent and a wrong bill value was sent through sms.Upon asking the details the customer service gal shouts at me. The accounts guy can’t make a simple calculation that 730 x 3 = 2190 instead they say 2990 once and 3300 next time and argue that they are correct. This is the kind of staff working in Hathway, upon correcting them, they inturn shout at you. Cheating, pathetic service and worse connection. If you have a desktop and laptop, you cannot connect to both, you should call the call centre and wait for 45 mins and get this done.
Hi guys…..One more same story here. I booked the connection on 13th March (unlimited 256 kbps) which costed me 772. I paid 800 bugs and till today I did not get the change. If I call them “Not an issue, I will give you tomorrow” is the answer I get everytime. Now the pathetic part comes, the engineer came and installed the everything the next day and before leaving he told me that there are having some “back end problem and will be working fine max within 2 hours.” Till 16th March my internet was not working… When called to the customer care “Give me your number, we will call u back” is the answer everytime and nobody calls me back. Finally I had to shout at them that I am going to disconnect it and I get the internet. The story is not over. The speed is so low and the net gets disconnected so often that I feel so frustrated. It is not even a week and I do not know how can I survive with this kind of connection even for a month (at least for the money I paid though not worth)…….Disgusting is not the word guys….Plz dont go for it.

This is the worst service provider i have ever seen in my life..never recieved proper response from customer care.. not from any of sales representative… workers are like don of the city.. not plesent and work like doing some “aihsan” over customer.

I got Hathway recently 512kbps and my download speed is around 25kbps which is frustrating and shocking. This service seems is way bad than many others. Im disappointed with Hathway. Too much talk, pathetic work.
Iam using 384 kbps unlimited plan since july 2010. They promised unlimited download & upload.
But every month from August 2010 onwards after i pay the bill the next day they reduce my speed to 128 kbps just sending me a sms “Your Hathway Internet A/c No.—— has crossed 100% of fair usage limit. Your speed is downgraded”.
In november 2010 i refused to pay in advance they took my modem by threatening me. I really don’t know what to do.
Hathway really suck and its sales person is big cheater in making customer.
I have taken connection in July 2011 in Malad (w), Mumbai, the sales person named Taufiq contacted me for this. I was told about the FUP and downgrade speed limit of 256 kbps. When I contacted the billing dept, they said it is only 128kbps. This speed really sucks. I have escalated this issue but till now no solution.
I am not sure how many guys would have been victim of his cheating. If hathway does not take care of this kind of situation it’s really does not worth to go for Hathway broadband connection.
I think Airtel, yourbrodband would be good pickup.

Yaa really like above all said Hathway is the worst service. The people never told what the complete plan is.
No one tells perfectly what the plan is, even website also.
The connection boy said 2mbps unlimited and immediately after 5 days my connection has fall down to 128 kbps. I called customer service they are telling all this bullshit after 5gb it will go from 2mbps to 128 kbps. Thats really crap, seriously man even in mobile normal gprs speed is 118 kbps. The worst service providers are hathway. Even on my bill also written like speed – 2mbps and download limit – unlimited. Even in 2mbps also you will not get full speed.
People Just go for Reliance or Airtel. The connections are really good. and the reliance is way cheaper than all other services an also it gives phone connection also freely.
. Hathway is Bullshit. I wnat to change my service provider.
